How It Works

Here's how you can use Online Production Studio to create a music-on-hold production, radio commercial, or voice-mail greeting.

Give your production a name and choose the type of production you want to create.
If this is a music-on-hold production, create a script quickly and easily with the Script Wizard. You fill out a few simple forms with information such as your company's name, slogan, address, business hours, products, and services. The Script Wizard will then write a script for you automatically. Don't like that script? Ask the Script Wizard to try again, or write your own script. The Script Wizard will be available for other types of productions in the future.
Whether you wrote your own script or used the Script Wizard, you can now edit the script to your satisfaction. Set the gender of the voice talent to be used for each paragraph, add paragraphs in other languages, and add important instructions for the voice talent. You can see approximately how long your script will be and how much music you'll have between voice-overs in a music-on-hold production. Insert, edit, and delete paragraphs until the script is just right.
Pick a voice from our directory of award-winning voice talent. Since we do thousands of productions with these people, we can bring you these voices at a fraction of what you would pay to have them do a single spot. Listen to their demos and choose the voice you like best.
Choose background music for your production from our huge library of royalty-free music in many styles. You can use one of our pre-made musical backgrounds, which are about six minutes in length for a music-on-hold production. Or for additional flexibility, if you're creating a music-on-hold production, you can put together your own music bed from our library of hundreds of tracks. Mix and match musical styles to suit your business, and preview your music bed to be sure you picked what you want.
When you're done building your production, you can purchase it online through PayPal. If you have a production card or coupon, please enter your coupon code or card number on the purchase screen. As soon as we receive your payment or a valid coupon code, we'll submit your production to be voiced.
Once you're notified by email that your voice work is done, simply visit your production page and hear the complete production before you accept it. Listen to the whole thing at once, or hear any paragraph you like on its own -- whichever you prefer.
Want to experiment with the music now that the voice-overs are done? No problem! Choose a different music bed, and the Online Production Studio will re-mix your production on the spot, so you can hear how it will sound right away. We let you adjust the music selection until it's just right, at no extra charge.
Found an audio glitch or a mistake in the reading of your script? Don't worry; we can take care of that at no extra charge. Want to change the text after the voice-overs are recorded? We can do that for a minimal fee. We'll submit your change requests to the voice talent and notify you by email when the production is ready to review again.
When you're satisfied, simply click the "Accept this production" link. Within just a few minutes, we will email you a link to download your professional Online Production! We'll keep a copy of your production, in case you need to download it again or create another one like it.
